They use this as a way to add in things such as the ‘in perpetuity’ clause which ties the buyer in for life or for at least 50 years. Other terms they also include are things such as floating weeks, hidden charges and the dreaded maintenance fees, which are subject to annual increases that can grow exponentially over time. Often hidden within the small print these can end up costing the buyers a lot more then they realised or can reasonably afford.
